Anyway, the tank possessed interesting features—such as electric motors that facilitated riving and manoeuvring, higher speed on firm ground compared to other Allied heavy tanks, and dreadful firepower, moreover, to mitigate the shortfalls of the initial version, several improvements were introduced, like the sloped roof, the single square commander’s turret, additional spaced armour and the superb 75mm Canon de 75 Mle 1897, that was considered the best field gun of the war.

Consequently, while initially regarded by most as one of the war's worst tanks, it proved to be an excellent assault gun when it began operating in open terrain in 1918. Distribution of the late tanks to the units began in late 1917 and they were employed on June 11, 1918 (alongside units equipped with the early version) during the battle of Montdidier-Noyon.

The 235 tanks of this version featured a sloping, two-pitch roof and thicker frontal armour; the first 59 were armed with the Saint-Chamond gun, while the remainder received the 75mm Canon de 75 Mle 1897. Armament comprised also four 8mm Hotchkiss Mle 1914 machine guns and was manned by a nine-man crew.

NOTES:

The bundle consists of five sheets for the model to be printed on 100 g/sm and 160 g/sm (suggested)
paper, and ten sheets for the instructions. Once downloaded, the sheets can be printed as often as you like, which means you can build any number of Saint-Chamond Landships very cheaply.

You will need scissors, a craft knife, a metal ruler, glue, 100 g/sm and 160 g/sm (recommended weight)
paper, cereal box type card, light card and cocktail sticks.
