Lead your armies to siege these ramparts! Can you breach the defences and burn the wooden keep to the ground? The Motte and Bailey is here to define your medieval campaigns!

Its historical scope is unmatched: use it for the pivotal Norman Invasion of England (1066) onward, stage the brutal sieges of The Anarchy, or command forces during the Barons' War. Perfectly scaled for both PaperBoys and your favorite 3D miniatures.

Notes - Besides the usual kit of PaperBoys tools you will need to Complete the model:

At least 10 A4 sheets of 1 mm grey card. This is a cheap re-cycled card which is perfect for paper modelling, basing, etc. widely available online. Buy 100 sheets to have some in store.

Cereal boxes or similar to salvage larger sheets of soft thin card for wrapping a skin round the base models.

Smaller elements of good thinner card such as old greetings cards for enfolding inside doors etc.

Lots of PVA (white) glue.

For the moat you will need some small headless nails, or a reel of solder to weight the edges. Also a large sheet of clear cellophane to add to the water effect, plus a new craft-knife blade for trimming the cellophane. Failing that, some gloss varnish to add a watery shine.

Once downloaded, the sheets can be printed as often as you like, which means you can build up any numbers of Mottes and Baileys for both sides very cheaply.

The figures are laid out on a A4 Format that must be printed with "Fit to Page" setting on your printer. The figures sheets will print onto US legal sized paper, or will fit US letter size printed at 93%.

You will need scissors, a craft knife, glue, appropriate paper (80 grm or 100 grm) and some stiffer card for bases and Markers, all of which are described in the how-to section.
