Caribbean Slave Quarters: are essential terrain features for skirmish wargames set in the Age of Piracy. These structures offer a variety of tactical advantages for both attackers and defenders:

  • Shelter from Firearms: Huts provide protection against musket fire and other ranged weapons, allowing troops to take cover and regroup.
  • Hiding Places: Huts can be used as hiding places for snipers, scouts, and other units seeking to ambush or outflank the enemy.
  • Concealment: The dense foliage and irregular terrain around huts can provide additional concealment, making it difficult for enemies to spot and target troops.
  • Blockage of Line of Sight: Huts can obstruct enemy lines of sight, making it more difficult for them to coordinate their attacks and maintain communication.
  • Can be set Ablaze: Small & Large Huts can be set ablaze for challenging and dramatic scenarios.

By strategically placing Slave Quarters on the battlefield, wargamers can create realistic and challenging scenarios that reflect the unique challenges and opportunities presented by the island environment.

Notes

Once downloaded, the sheets can be printed as often as you like, which means you can build up houses very cheaply.

You will need scissors, a craft knife, glue, appropriate paper and some stiffer card for bases, all of which are described in the how-to section.

The figures are laid out in A4 format, which will print onto US legal sized paper, or will fit US letter size printed at 93%.

You can, of course, print the figures in any scale you choose, making them uniquely flexible in this respect.
