Shelter yourself from the Sun and Desert Storms
In the shimmering heat of the desert, the silhouette of a canvas tent is a timeless constant, representing either a welcome sanctuary or a hidden threat.
Our Desert Tents sheet—featuring two masterfully illustrated structures—is perhaps one of the most versatile "utility" asset in the entire PaperBoys archive.
While they are a natural fit for the sprawling encampments of our Colonial ranges, their design is truly era-defying; they are just as at home providing cover for a 12th-century Assassin’s mountain stronghold or serving as a Templar command post during the Crusades.
Whether marking a supply depot on the road to Khartoum or a clandestine meeting spot in the Holy Land, these tents provide the essential scale and period-neutral detail needed to bring any arid battlefield to life, regardless of the century.
Notes
Once downloaded, the sheets can be printed as often as you like, which means you can build up Large Encampments very cheaply.
You will need scissors, a craft knife, glue, appropriate paper and some stiffer card for bases, all of which are described in the how-to section.
The figures are laid out in A4 format, which will print onto US legal sized paper, or will fit US letter size printed at 93%.
You can, of course, print the figures in any scale you choose, making them uniquely flexible in this respect.
Our Motto is Paper Armies, Proper Armies!
